Ah! Finally I get the time to stop day dreaming and getting down to putting my thoughts in to words. Its so much different than posting in My Train of Thoughts.
Any ways, here are the first set of pictures of the flat. Its still under construction. Frankly I didn't have the stamina to clamber up 11 floors just to take pictures. So popped in to the third floor one to click a few.
This's the front view of the building. We will be living right at the top. Well almost! You know what I love the most about this flat? Its going to have an open to air balcony! Yippee!! I can't even begin to count the number of times I have wished and wished to have one of my own.
Tried to get a 360 degree feel from the cellphone camera. The area around is yet to be developed. All the near by plots are ear marked for up coming (and already booked!) projects.
This one will be the amenities area with the swimming pool and club house.
The one below is the back side of the project.
The other buildings in the same campus.
The current gate of the site office.

This is going to be the lobby on each floor. I am standing at the south-west entrance. Our door is on the right hand side of the picture.
And the main entry to the flat. There's a little lobby kind of space just as you enter. Can be used to set up a shoe store and may be an artifact or some thing. I am already thumbing through interior design magazines.
The balcony! Finally!! Looking forward to long hours of sun bathing, a cuppa and tons of books around. And my faithfull lappy to update my blogs. Might as well have a few pots around to give a chance to my green thumb. The balcony, though small, will have to have a tiny cozy seating area with the clothes stand stuffed in some where in between. :)
My will-be kitchen. This place is going to be the most bustling place for sure! What with a little bundle of joy twaddling along side, I am sure my hands are going to be so full. It looks spacious now. But once the refrigerator and washing machine get placed, i don't think I will have much place to maneuver around. Hmm, need to scrounge around for space-saver storage ideas. Will hit the Interiors section of Landmarks at SGS soon for the some brilliant ideas.
The living room-cum dinning space and the view from the balcony. The TV will get wall mounted near the window. Did I mention, that the windows are one of the first things that I fell for in the entire lay out. Just imagine, looking out at vast stretches of grey clouds and breathe-taking sun sets day after day. Can't wait till July. I am determined to have minimal decor. No dinning tables and bulky sofa sets for me. Every thing as Indian style as possible. Even the truck load of books will be earth I mean floor bound. And of course the kiddo will need all the space for her toys and stuff.
The master bed room. If the 3rd floor is so sunny at 2:45 PM, what will the 11th floor be like? Still not sure, whether I will want the storage to be in this room or not. Though, if I plan to create permanent storage cabinets in the kiddo's room, I am sure she will create a raukus about it once she grows up.
The Kiddo's room. I have SO MANY plans for this one. Already in love with High-Light! And my treassure trove and the single bone of contention between me and T: the Good Housekeeping mags are already being thumbed for the most creative dos.
More updates later. See you soon. :)
